Sweet and Savoury Beef Jerky Trail Mix

Ingredients

3/4 cup (175 mL) chopped Oven-Dried Classic Beef Jerky or store-bought (one 70 g pkg)
1/2 cup (125 mL) chopped walnuts (toasted, if desired)
1/4 cup (60 mL) green pumpkin seeds
3/4 cup (175 mL) chopped dried apples, cranberries and/or apricots
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine jerky, walnuts, pumpkin seeds and dried fruit. Serve immediately or store in a jar or airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
Change up the flavour easily with other additions along with the jerky, nuts and seeds, such as:
- Other dried fruits, such as raisins, dried cherries or dates, or freeze-dried fruits or berries for some crunch.
- Roasted or freeze-dried chickpeas, green peas, fava, or edamame beans (plain or flavoured), and for a spicy kick, wasabi peas!
- Dried or freeze-dried vegetables such as tomatoes and sweet red peppers.
- Crunchy granola cereal.
