Sesame Ginger Beef and Edamame

Sesame Ginger Beef and Edamame

Ingredients

8 oz (250 g) Lean Ground Beef

2 tsp (10 mL) minced fresh gingerroot

1 clove garlic, minced

2 cups (500 mL) shelled edamame (thawed, if frozen)

1 tbsp (15 mL) sesame oil

2 tsp (10 mL) sesame seeds

Salt or soy sauce

Pepper


Instructions

  1. Heat oil over medium-high heat in a nonstick skillet. Cook beef, gingerroot and garlic, stirring often and using back of spoon to break up beef into chunks, for about 5 minutes or until meat is thoroughly cooked.
  2. Reduce heat to medium. Add edamame, sesame oil and sesame seeds; cook, stirring, for about 5 minutes or until edamame are heated through. Season with salt or soy sauce and pepper to taste.
